We were introduced to the Chorkie breed two years ago after deciding to purchase a companion for our chihuahua. After doing extensive research, we decided that the Chorkie breed was the best for us . On October 30, 2009, we purchased Zoe from a pet store in Omaha as for months we had been looking for a local family who bred chorkies, to no avail. Zoe was born July 26, 2009 and was a beautiful, spunky little gal who blended perfectly with our family. This picture is of Zoe with her long coat after growing all winter. She had not been trimmed at all in this picture and as you can see takes after the Yorkie breed with her long fur. Zoe was matched for breeding with two smaller purebred male yorkies, both papered. Both are beautiful males with incredible personalities who belong to a relative and are also pets. However, Zoe is not papered so these puppies cannot be used as Hybrids for show. The puppies should all be small, as Zoe weighs less than 8 lbs and the males weight less than 6 lbs. Because of the impending birth of our beautiful puppies, we had Zoe trimmed completely down as seen in this picture about two weeks before their birth. During the summer months in particular, we generally trim her body down short but leave the tuft of long hair on top of her head for bows, etc. |
